2019年8月4日，参加上海诺美学校暑期新生夏令营的新同学们在家长的陪同下来到了校园，诺美教职工们都已早早就位，以最饱满的热情迎接学生和家长们的到来。
On August 4, 2019, new students attending the new students summer camp of NAIS arrived at the campus accompanied by their parents. The staffs of NAIS are already in place to greet students and parents with the most enthusiasm.
新生进入各自的班级，班主任致欢迎辞，介绍学校学习和生活的安排，并解答学生和家长的问题。随后举行了简短的见面会，学生和家长们听取了学校报告；校长致欢迎辞；教学主任唐老师介绍假期安排；舒老师介绍学校规章制度。
The new students entered their classes, the homeroom teacher gave a welcome speech, introduced the school’s study and life arrangements, and answered questions from students and parents.
2019年8月5日，上海诺美学校新生暑期夏令营正式开营。新生们身着整齐的校服，带着兴奋和期许进入了各自的班级。
On August 5, 2019, the summer camp for freshmen of NAIS officially opened. The new students, dressed in neat uniforms, entered their classes with excitement and anticipation.
此次夏令营的课程设置中，安排了外教英语强化课和英文数学课、戏剧课等，意在让新生们逐渐习惯英语授课的模式，熟悉英文授课的语言环境。与此同时，互动性的教学方法能改变学生以听为主的旧习惯，培养学生学习的主动性与积极性。
In the curriculum of this summer camp, foreign teachers' intensive English classes, English math classes and drama classes are arranged, aiming to make freshmen gradually get used to the mode of teaching in English and get familiar with the language environment of teaching in English. At the same time, the interactive teaching method can change the old habit of listening and cultivate students' learning initiative and enthusiasm.
除此之外，绘画课、音乐课、体育课等课程的设置，旨在培养学生的综合素质。
In addition, drawing, music, physical education and other courses are designed to cultivate students' comprehensive quality
在夏令营期间，我校邀请前芝加哥大学招生官Conners女士来访我校，给同学们带来精彩讲座，和与学生和家长做一对一咨询。
Former University Chicago Admissions Officer Ms. Conners visited NAIS. She delivered a speech for all new students of class 2019-2020, and has had one on one session with students and parents.
