在上周的艺术课上，威雅公学学子们受马蒂斯（Matisse）的启发，创作了彩色剪纸拼贴画。在审视结构空间的同时，欣赏了阿尔贝托•贾科梅蒂（Alberto Giacometti）用木炭创作的动态且具挑战性的作品，并学习了尤安•乌格洛（Euan Uglow）倡导的视觉尺寸测量技术。
我们的学生很幸运可以接受小班课程的教学，并根据他们的个人需要接受量身定制的建议。这种严谨的观察性教学为学生提供了坚实的艺术基础，使他们在艺术考试和大学申请中提高优势，许多大学视觉艺术课程的申请都需要单独的观察性绘画作品集。
This week in Art, pupils have created coloured paper cut out collages inspired by Matisse, examined structural space whilst looking at the art of Alberto Giacometti made dynamic and challenging drawing using charcoal on the end of a long stick and learnt Sight Sized measuring techniques advocated by Euan Uglow.
Our pupils are fortunate to be working in small classes, from a model, with tailored advise based upon their individual needs. This rigorous observational tuition gives pupils a solid foundation in Art giving them an advantage in their Art Exams and University applications, many of which require a separate, observational drawing portfolio for Visual Art course applications.
