Safer Internet Day was initiated by Europe’s non-profit organisation INSAFE in 2004 and since then the Day has been celebrated on the second Tuesday of February every year. The campaign aims to create both a safer and a better internet, where everyone, especially the youth, is empowered to use technology safely and responsibly.

2004年起，欧洲非营利性机构INSAFE将每年2月的第二个星期二定为国际互联网安全日。旨在宣传并推动全世界的人们，特别是青少年安全及负责任地使用互联网。

Amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the internet is more closely related than ever to our daily lives. For example, we currently have to completely rely on the internet to reach out to our students. All our teachers have been making professional preparations for online teaching. The primary school teachers provide audio and video materials for pupils. The teachers in the Middle School and the High School have been making full use of rich internet resources such as online learning platforms to provide suitable and diversified learning materials for students. We hope that parents can cooperate with us in guiding students to learn online safely, correctly and efficiently.

疫情肆虐的当下，互联网和我们日常生活的关系似乎前所未有的密切，比如，现在我们就不得不完全依赖网络来进行远程教育和教学。我校小学部及中学部的老师目前正在为远程教学工作做着专业的策划和准备。根据小学部学生年龄小的特点，老师们还提供音视频资料，录制微课帮助学生学习。中学部的老师也充分利用在线学习平台等丰富的互联网资源，努力做到向学生提供适切的学习资源及丰富多样的学习任务。老师们也希望家长能和学校配合，共同指导学生安全、正确、高效地利用互联网进行学习！

It’s our duty to create a better internet, improving the safety of the internet, raising everyone’s risk awareness and helping our students use the internet safely and healthily.

共同创造更好的互联网，我们义不容辞。提升网络安全环境，提高网络风险意识，引导孩子健康安全地使用互联网是我们共同的责任。
