On November 21st, the teachers and students of grade 6 to grade 9 had a charity fair held in the school cafeteria.
Before the charity fair, teachers introduced where the money and donations received by the school would be used after each charity fair. It turned out that our school used the ¥210,000 to subsidize students study in the counterpart school in Xinjiang and plant trees in northwest China. Over the past five years of charity fairs, Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School has planted 26,516 trees in northwest China. The students were moved by the news and prepared to participate in the charity fair more actively, in the hope of contributing to such public welfare activities.
On November 21st, from 2:00 to 3:20 PM, the long-awaited middle school charity fair finally came! Holding hands and carrying bags of goods, the students hopped from their classrooms to their designated booth in the cafeteria and began to carefully arrange the goods. Exquisite decorations and colorful posters on the tables made the charity fair more lively, interesting, and energetic.
The whole charity fair was filled with laughter and smiles. Some students sold milk tea, some jewelry, and the other students sold star signature cards. What’s more, a group of students even brought in two TVs for the lottery they prepared with a brand new iPhone X as the first prize! Only five tokens per round were needed. Therefore, the students were very excited and eager to try. The students haggled like little adults with the students selling goods. It came to you as if you were in a real mall. Students benefited a lot from this charity fair.
The time of happiness always passes quickly. Soon, the charity fair would come to an end. At 3:20 PM, the students were reluctantly clearing away the goods they sold, the goods they bought, and their remaining garbage. And after all the students left, the whole cafeteria was clean and spotless, which also reflects the high quality of the students. All in all, it is a very memorable and enjoyable charity fair. Let’s look forward to the next one!
