Introduce/比赛介绍

Ivy Cup International English Contest is a well-known global English contest that first entered China in 2018. It is one of the most authoritative international contests for English learners. The contents of this test are based on the American ETS official question bank system, benchmarked with CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), a significant standard that takes contestants to a global stage that lets them shine. 

常春藤国际口语大赛作为历史悠久、极具影响力，且全球享有盛誉的年度性英语竞赛，秉承美国常春藤联盟Ivy League竞技、合作、创新之赛事精神。是ESL地区最具权威的英语通用国际评级。比赛内容基于美国ETS官方权威题库，对标CEFR欧洲共同语言参考标准，是参赛选手跻身国际舞台与海内外升学的重要参考标准。

美国常春藤国际赛事组委会从1954年开始在全球范围内举办常春藤系列赛事，2018年，组委会决定将“IVY CUP常春藤杯”国际口语大赛引入到中国大陆，并成立成中国大陆赛区，与其他亚太赛区共同角逐于华盛顿举行的全球杯冠军。

Our special thanks go to our experienced, dedicated teachers, especially Mrs. Sary Cheng, who introduced and organized the contest, and Mr. Oliver Zhang, who coached students in both Grade 9 and 10.

特别感谢我们经验丰富、敬业的老师，特别是比赛的组织者Mrs. Sary Cheng，以及指导9年级和10年级学生的Mr. Oliver Zhang。

Oliver Zhang is a new teacher joining Sino-Canada School this spring semester. He is an expert in Economics and Math, currently teaching both subjects for Grade 9 and 10. There is always a smile on his face. During the preliminary stage, he worked closely with some of our contestants, helping them revise, edit and proofread their speech transcripts, and also helped correct mispronunciations in their speeches. Students appreciate him a lot.

Mr. Oliver Zhang是今年春季学期加入枫华学校的新教师，他是经济学和数学专家，目前教授9年级和10年级。他的脸上总是挂着笑容。在预赛阶段，他帮助参赛学生修改、编辑和校对演讲稿，并帮助纠正演讲中的发音错误，学生们非常喜欢他。
