威雅公学夏校——学生代表团参观HHC工厂

7月17日星期三，威雅公学夏校的学生们参观了总部位于常州钟楼区的HHC公司。这是一家成立于2002年的中外合资企业，以生产高科技家具为主。
对任何企业高层来说，会见客户、供应商和承包商等访客有可能非常耗时。然而，HHC集团总经理Catherine Li女士在百忙之中抽出时间接待了我们，这让我们感到十分荣幸。
参观开始前，Catherine Li女士首先与大家分享了优秀中国青年对权利和特权的看法。这是一个非常有影响力的指导时刻，她的分享给学生们带来的启示和收获是无价的。
随后，HHC公司产品总监Shaun Liu带领威雅公学代表团参观了工厂。我们参观了各个部门，包括研究设计部、产品研发部、工程部、质管部、仓库、生产部和客服部。
在机器声中，学生们提了许多好奇的问题，他们脸上写满了兴奋和惊叹，这些新鲜的事物增加了许多课堂之外的收获和乐趣。参观结束之际，威雅公学代表团还一起观看了HHC企业宣传片并享用了由HHC提供的晚餐。
这次的参观为我们的学生提供了关于经营高科技工厂的深刻视角，以及其中的挑战和解决方案。参加威雅公学夏校项目的学生们在这次机会中获益匪浅。让我们来看看学生们是怎么评价的：

On 17th July 2019, participants of WAIS Summer Camp visited HHC Incorporation headquartered in Zhonglou, Changzhou. Founded in 2002, HHC is joint venture company, certified with an ISO9001 & TS16949 high technology furniture manufacturer.
Meeting people, customers, clients, suppliers or sub-contractors, can be very time consuming for the top echelons in any organizations. Yet WAIS delegation noticed how Ms. Catherine Li, Chairman of HHC Incorporation took time off her busy schedule to welcome us.
Ms. Catherine Li started the visit with a sharing about privileged Chinese youth’s perceptive on entitlements and privileges. It was a very powerful mentoring moment, where the takeaway by our Summer Camp participants were most priceless.
After which, Mr. Shaun Liu, Product Director of HHC Incorporation gave our delegation a guided tour. We visited various departments, including research & design, product development, engineering, quality control, warehouse, production and customer service departments.
There was a lot of excitement, awe and the asking of questions amid background factory noise from machinery, something which can be very refreshing for classroom learners. Towards the end of the tour, our delegation was treated to an HHC corporate video over a sumptuous dinner.
This factory visit offered our pupils insightful perspectives of operating a high technology factory, the challenges and solutions. WAIS Summer Camp attendees greatly benefited from this opportunity. Let’s read what our pupils have got to say:
