浦东万科学校的新学年准备工作暨新学年教师培训自暑假前已有序开展。为保障顺利开学,暑假前学校严格要求外教不得离开中国,并每天上报全体人员健康及出行状况。8月初新教师陆续到岗,开始开学前调适、动员和培训;8月中旬,老教师悉数返岗,开启新学年准备工作。从决策到落实,都展现了VSP团队强大的凝聚力和执行力。
2020年8月24日至8月31日,随着全体教职返岗,浦东万科学校开展了为期一周的全体教职培训,培训涵盖跨文化合作、教学技能、教育理念方法、学生心理支持等多领域。借助集团化办学优势,依托德英乐教育雄厚的学术资源与教师发展资源,努力为教师搭建学习成长平台。
回顾这次培训,精彩纷呈,亮点多多,既有各级领导的干货传授,又有嘉宾大咖的高质量分享,为所有新老教师上好“开学第一课”, 进一步提升教师专业化水平,加强、加快胜任教育教学工作以及新教师的全面成长。
From August 24th to August 31th, VSP held a one-week orientation for teachers. Taking the advantage of Vanke Group and utilizing the academic and teachers’ development resources from DTD Education, VSP strives to build a learning and growing platform for all teachers. All VSP faculty were back to school on time and actively involved in the sessions, which showed the school’s great cohesiveness and execution ability.
Looking back to the training, we’re still impressed by all the unforgettable highlights, such as the tutoring from leaders and quality sharing by guest speakers, all of which have contributed to the successful “first class” for all teachers, as well as further improved teaching professionalism, expedited the adaptability process, and encouraged a comprehensive development for new teachers.

聚焦发展,明晰学校发展目标
Focus on development and identify VSP development goal
浦东万科学校执行校长孙少青就学校的发展目标与战略带来分享,提出“专业发展、品质提升、特色初显、英才展露”16字的学校发展目标。从学生五育并举、发展专业团队、开发校本课程、构建立体德育体系、推进学校文化建设五方面进行具体阐释。聚焦发展,赋能教师,目标引领,与团队同步学校发展方向。
VSP Executive Principal Sara Sun updated teachers on the school’s development goal and strategy, outlining the development goal as “expertise honing, quality improving, specialty featuring, and talent raising”. Principal Sun further explained this from five detailed perspectives, namely the comprehensive development of students, the professional development of the team, the design of school curriculum, the system building that elevates moral values, and the propelling of VSP’s cultural influence. The focus is on development, and the way is to empower teachers. With the goal as the leading light, VSP has been directed with a clear development path.

Incorporate cross-cultural and diverse thinking patterns into teaching,take care of students’ mental development
上海海事大学外国语学院左飚教授以中西方思维模式差异为主题进行分享。左教授阐释了思维模式与文化的关系,详细比较了西方思维模式(线性/分析型)和中方思维模式(环型/综合型),为教师们开拓了思考问题的新视角,并指明要以跨文化、多元化的思维方式去思考问题、解决问题。
上海市教育科学研究院、教育部中小学心理健康教育专家吴增强教授为中方教师定制了《聆听学生心声》的分享,用生动的案例与老师们探讨学生的心智成长,如何通过鼓励、沟通、倾听等方式支持学生的全面健康发展。
Professor Biao Zuo from College of Foreign Languages at Shanghai Maritime University presented his thoughts on the differentiated thinking modes of Chinese and western logics.
Professor Zengqiang Wu, an Education Ministry-certified mental health expert for primary and middle school students from Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences custom-made the “Listen to Students’ Inner Voices” for local teachers.

德英乐教育学术副总监Natalie博士为外教们分享了《Classroom Instruction that Works with ELLs 101》,通过工作坊的形式与外教们讨论了如何利用SIOP辅助面向英文为第二语言学生的教学,为拓展学生多元学习领域,发展学生国际化视野,发挥学校双语教学优势提供有力支持。
Dr. Pitre, Academic Deputy Director of DTD, shared the“Classroom Instruction that Works with ELLs 101” among foreign teachers, and discussions were conducted in workshops on how to use SIOP in helping with the teaching to students whose English is their second language. The workshops turned out to be productive in helping to expand students’ diverse study fields, shape their global perspective, and unleash VSP’s bilingual teaching advantage.

WASC优化课程设计
Optimize WASC course design
WASC国际顾问Barbara通过视频会议向在座的教师们分享实现课程设计优化的方法,强调团队协作的重要性,要求设计的课程能够收集所有学生的能力信息,并有针对性地在全校范围内进行学习。随后教师们亲身实践,通过小组讨论完成课程的设计,知行合一让教师们更加明确课程设计的有效方法,在实际教学和学生管理中落实全人培养、差异化教学和以学生为中心的教学理念。
Ms. Barbara, WASC International Consultant shared approaches to realize class design optimization via video conference. She emphasized the importance of teamwork, and encouraged courses be designed in a way that enables information collection on students’ capabilities, while practicing the approach school-wide in a targeted manner. Teachers then put this into practice by designing courses through group discussions, the activity of which has made teachers become more aware of the effective ways to design courses. Overall, the sharing has provided conceptual support to the teaching philosophies of holistic education, differentiated teaching and student-centered approach in physical classrooms.

新的学期即将到来,学校为了培养一支适应新时期、新特点、新要求,德才兼备、善于学习、勇于创新的中外教师团队,精心安排了为期一周的教师培训。而我在这一周的学习中收获颇丰,受益匪浅。在第一天的《2020-2021学校发展重点领域》大会中,孙校长围绕德英乐教育“聚焦内涵,精益管理”的战略核心进行讲解,我再一次深刻理解了 “开拓全球事业,激发无限潜能,培养立身世界的中华英才”的宗旨和使命,“5C”、“5R”的培养目标也会一直贯穿在平日教学和学校生活当中。接下来的几天,左飚教授和吴增强教授的讲座令我印象深刻。左教授生动地为我们呈现了《中西思维模式的比较》,虽然两种思维各有不同,但可以相互融合,共同碰撞出世界文明的火花。吴教授的讲座《聆听学生的心声》,从两个方面出发,阐述了我们作为一名老师,就需要不断理解学生的内心需求,知道学生内心想要什么,需要什么,因为孩子的心理很容易被忽视。
现在,我作为一名小学老师和班主任,在经过这次培训之后就更加明白了自己的定位,因为老师对一个人的学生时代是不言而喻的。学生会随着年龄的增长,在成长过程中产生很多烦恼,这时老师的作用就更加突出了。所以,教师这一职业与其它职业不同的是,它绝不是千篇一律的重复,工作中一定会经常出现意想不到的新学生、新情况。这对我们来说是一种挑战,同时也是我们的职业魅力所在。认真研究学生心理,加强理论学习与实践积累,无疑会为今后的工作积蓄力量,从而让我们能够做到临阵不乱、有的放矢。虽然我们的培训将要结束,但是我们学习的脚步永不停止!
一周的全体教师培训圆满落下了帷幕,通过共同研讨和探索课堂教学模式改革,以及对课堂规范、教学方法、积极的学生行为管理等方面的思考,以期增强课堂教学效果,提升教育质量。
新老教师也即将踏上新学年的旅程,做好了迎接新同学,为共同构建VSPers 5C5R画像做好充分准备。
The one-week training for all teachers have ended with a high note. All teachers have gained valuable experience and knowledge in professional expertise, the general understanding on culture and other aspects. They will soon embark on the new school year journey in VSP, and are ready to receive new students, as well as contribute to the practice of the 5Cs and 5Rs, the realization of which is inseparable from all VSPers.
