常州威雅公学世界名校讲座系列——曼彻斯特大学&诺丁汉大学

常州威雅公学于上周举办了世界名校讲座，两所世界排名前100的英国大学受邀来校与我们高年级的学生交流分享，帮助学生拓宽视野，为未来探索更多的机会。
星期三，我们的学生与曼彻斯特大学进行了交流。曼彻斯特大学在QS世界排名中处于第29名。曼大位于繁华的都市，拥有丰富广泛的学科，这些因素都将其铸造成了一所顶尖的大学。星期四，学生们又与诺丁汉大学进行了交流。诺丁汉大学位于英国的中心，来到这所大学可以有机会到英国的各地旅游。诺丁汉大学还提供多样的顶尖课程。
通过与世界名校的交流，学生们可以借此机会来考察这些世界名校提供的不同课程，也可以借此考虑未来如何选择自己的大学。
在交流动结束之后，学生们都有机会进一步提出关于大学或是关于在英国学习的问题。学生们提出了一系列颇有见地的问题并得到了解答。结束后，诺丁汉大学的代表评价常州威雅公学学生是最令她印象深刻的国际学生。
对我们的学生来说，这些与世界名校交流的机会仍然十分重要。通过这样的分享交流，帮助他们在毕业时充分考虑所有可能的选择。我们期待着在不久的将来有更多的世界名校加入我们的交流活动。
Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou hosted two World Top 100 ranked UK universities last week as Sixth Form pupils continue to explore the opportunities available to them in the future.
On Wednesday, pupils were visited by the University of Manchester. Ranked 29th in the World in QS World University Rankings, it’s metropolitan location as well as wide range of subjects make it an excellent university destination. On Thursday, pupils heard from the University of Nottingham, another Top 100 university. Nottingham is centrally located in the UK allowing opportunities to travel across the country. The university also has a number of outstanding courses on offer.
Pupils had the opportunity to consider the different courses available to them at these prestigious university, as well as time to consider how they should be choosing their universities more generally.
After both presentations, pupils were given the opportunity to ask any further questions they had about the universities or university study in the UK more generally. Pupils asked a number of insightful questions. Indeed, the university representative from the University of Nottingham said that Wycombe Abbey pupils were the most impressive international cohort of pupils she had ever seen.
These opportunities continue to be important for our pupils to allow them to fully consider all the options available to them once they leave school. We are looking forward to welcoming further universities to the school in the near future.
