美国蓝带加州汇点高中闵行校区有幸邀请到最强大脑第二季12强选手陈立庚先生就“选择比努力更重要”一题给汇点的学子们带来了精彩的讲座。
It’s our honor to invite Mr. Chen, the Top 12 member from Super Brain S2, having a address about Choice is more important than Effort for our first Crosspoint Talk - Guest Talk which brings a wonderful lecture to the students.
陈立庚先生分享/Mr. Chen Ligeng Sharing
通过列举自身经历与学习方法的介绍，生动形象地表达了自身观点。
By enumerating his own experience and methods to introduce the vivid image of the expression of his views.
专业选择/Major
我们也即将面临人生中重要的选择，许多同学也面临着不知道如何选择未来专业的问题，以此为论点，真实经历为论据，陈立庚先生为各位同学提了个醒：不要盲目追随潮流，要看透本质，或听取父母的建议，要了解自己真正的兴趣爱好，在每一步的选择前都要深思熟虑，看清利弊。
We are also about to face important choices in our lives. Many students are also faced with the problem of how to choose their future major. On the basis of the real experience of this argument, Mr. Chen reminded us that you should not blindly follow the trend, but to see through the essence, or listen to the advice of your parents. You should understand your real interests and hobbies. Think before you leap.
考研/Postgraduate
对于我们以后是否决定考研，陈立庚先生也提出了忠告：要想好日后的发展，明确定位。同时他也对各位提出了要求：要挖掘潜力，不要满足当下，多尝试不可能，使自身更具备竞争力，就如他在日常的学习之余，还尝试了与其专业无关的比赛，如华为销售精英挑战赛并获得了第四名的好成绩。
Regarding to our future plan, Mr. Chen Ligeng also suggested that if we are going to study master programme, we have to decide our career area before choose the university and programme. At the same time, he also required that we should try our best to develop our potential and be more competitive. For example, he also tried many none-academic related contests during his free time, such as Huawei sales contest and win the forth place.
要提高自身的抗压能力，同时还要拥有一定的领导能力。他给我们列举了有关领导能力的四个提升方向：
we should improve our own compressive capacity. At the same time, we also need to have certain leadership ability, which is more insightful than enumerating the promotion direction:
1. 组建团队/Team formation
2. 掌控全局/Overall Control
3. 协调内部/Internal Coordination
4. 观察入微/Observations
针对一直困扰同学们的记忆力提升问题，他给出了一些实用的方法如联想法、推理法、拆解法。
Some practical methods, such as association and reasoning, are also given to improve students’ memory skill.
现场气氛热烈，同学们踊跃提问发言。第一期汇点说成功举办。
The atmosphere was warm and the students were eager to ask questions. The first event was held successfully.
