步履铿锵，逐梦成长

Growing up with dreams

国旗护卫队的同学们英姿飒爽，迈着整齐的步伐护卫着鲜艳的五星红旗入场，伴随着雄壮的国歌，鲜艳的五星红旗冉冉升起，全体师生深怀对祖国的崇高敬意，面向国旗行注目礼。

The students of the national flag guard team escorted the national flag to enter the stadium.  With the flag rising, all the teachers and students paid attention to the national flag with deep respect for the motherland.

我们的老师和学生用自己的方式迎接新学期的到来，一个个精彩的节目展现了大家对新学期的期盼和祝福。

Our teachers and students welcomed the arrival of the new semester in their own way. Wonderful performances showed everyone's expectation and blessing for the new semester.

“合抱之木，生于毫末；九层之台，起于垒土；千里之行，始于足下。” 新学期，意味着新的起点，新的征程。沈飞校长祝贺全体师生2020学年顺利回归校园，对新加入江南燕园大家庭的师生表示热烈欢迎，并提出殷切期望，激励同学们不断进步，成为更好的自己。

Mr. Sam Shen, president of the school, congratulated all the teachers and students on their smooth return to the campus in the 2020 school year. He extended a warm welcome to the new teachers and students who had joined PKUES(JX),  and put forward high expectations to the students and encouraged them to make continuous progress and become better themselves.

沈校长希望同学们不忘英雄，弘扬正气。中国人民抗日战争胜利纪念日即将到来，我们要在对历史的一次次回望中不断汲取前行的力量，以坚定的步伐，铿锵向前。我们要铭记历史上的英雄人物，也要向身边的英雄学习。无论是抗击新冠疫情的医护人员，还是抗洪救灾的广大官兵，以及日常生活中的每一个值得学习的榜样，都应该成为我们学习的对象。

Mr Shen said we should remember the heroes in history and learn from the heroes around us, such as doctors fighting the new coronavirus and soldiers fighting floods.

“俭以养德，静以修身。”沈校长希望同学们勤俭节约，避免铺张浪费。“一餐一饭当思来之不易，半丝半缕恒念物力维艰。” 无论是物质丰富还是匮乏，资源都是有限的，每一粒粮食都来之不易，每一缕布帛都饱含汗水。我们应该从日常小事做起，不浪费一粒米，不糟蹋一件衣服，养成节约的好习惯。

Mr. Shen hoped that the students would be thrifty, and avoid extravagance and waste. Whether we are rich in materials or not, resources, which are limited, should be cherished and not wasted. We should develop a good habit of saving in daily life.

科技助燃梦想，科技成就未来。在时光的长河中，爱迪生为人们找到了光明的归宿，莱特兄弟把人们送上了无垠的天空；各种电子产品勾勒着流光溢彩，新型宇宙飞船俯瞰着神州大地。沈校长希望同学们能够崇尚科学，热爱学习，每天进步一点点，感受科学的魅力，享受学习的乐趣。

Mr Shen hoped that students could advocate science, love learning, make a little progress every day, feel the charm of science and enjoy the fun of learning.

“业精于勤而荒于嬉，行成于思而毁于随。”沈校长希望同学们“热爱劳动，讲究卫生”，在日常生活中养成良好的生活习惯，努力做自己力所能及的事，不推卸责任，做好个人卫生，保护好环境卫生。

Mr. Shen hoped that students would love labor and pay attention to hygiene, develop good living habits in daily life, strive to do what they can, do not shirk responsibility, do a good job in personal hygiene and protect environmental sanitation.
