Time slips away fast. Without notice, one week in Maple leaf life has already gone silently yet meaningful. This week witnessed many “firsts” to me.
Its my first time to live far away from home. No parents accompany, I feel lonely. It is my first time to study alone. It’s my first time to learn to be independent, actually and effectively. It’s my first time to hand out so much stuff apart from studying. Most importantly, as my first time to reach Maple leaf platform.Boarding school life and studying in life makes the most crucial two parts of Mapleleaf life.
Boarding life is complex. I have no idea when facing so many personal things that I don’t know where to put or how to organize them well. I was going to take a shower but forgotten to bring a towel. I couldn’t find a nail cutter that has been actually put under my bed sheet. Also, The feeling of homesickness comes up to my chest from the bottom of my heart. Put in life means hard to me.
However, I live with three lovely and helpful roommates. We help one another to find our stuff. Chatting with one another about different gossip, laughing at her for a small affair comfortable another for not being homesick. Boarding life means warmth to me now.
Besides boarding life, study life is more challenging. In Maple leaf where teaches international courses by international teachers. In the reading lesson, Miss Ally led us to make dialogues to memorize new words instead of learning by rote. In the writing course, Miss Ellie told us to classify the words that have the same meanings. Thereby, we could easily remember new words.
